The Ugandan Embassy in Midtown was subject to a 'violent incident' that took place days after the UN urged the president of Uganda to block an anti-LGBTQ bill.
Photos released by Ayebare show shattered glass all over the foyer and a skateboard laying upside down. This event took place just a few days after the UN rights chief urged Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to blockPhoto released by Ugandan ambassador to the UN.
According to the bill, a suspect convicted of "attempted aggravated homosexuality" could be jailed for up to 14 years, and the offense of "attempted homosexuality" is punishable by up to 10 years.
