As the music ends, the clean-up begins. With tons of rubbish and waste scattered across Worthy Farm, litter pickers have their work cut out for them.

And just hours after Rocketman hitmaker Sir Elton played what was billed as, volunteers began tackling the mountains of rubbish left strewn across the festival grounds.

Everything from discarded tents to cups, plastic bags, and disposable vapes can be seen littering the grounds of the farm in a series of disturbing photographs. Drivers were encouraged to leave the site before 7am today to avoid queues and were advised to have food, drink, and supplies in their car in the event of long waits.
