Archaos closed down in 2007 with developers now looking to turn it into student accommodation.
The public is being given the chance to look over updated plans to transform the site of the former Archaos nightclub.
The redevelopment would accommodate around 230 students in fully serviced apartments and state-of-the-art amenity facilities and could be worth more than £10 million to the economy during the construction phase.Archaos closed down in 2007 with the building laying vacant for years since. The site is described as in 'extremely poor condition' with previous proposals to use it as a nightclub and office unsuccessful due to the costs required to refurbish the building.
“These exciting proposals represent a significant investment in Glasgow and will serve to regenerate a currently derelict site. It will serve to provide much-needed student accommodation in a building that has lain empty since 2007 and which, due to its condition, provides limited options for redevelopment.
