A former Glendale Heights woman has been sentenced to prison for biting a police officer as she was being arrested in June, according to the DuPage County state's attorney's office.

On June 20, Glendale Heights police responded to a report of two people arguing in a parking lot in the 500 block of Gregory Avenue. When officers arrived they found Russell sitting in the driver's seat of a car, and smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle.Tyler RussellWhen officers asked Russell to get out of the car, she began walking away, but returned to the vehicle when police ordered her to return.
