Glentoran Football Club has welcomed Wednesday's announcement that £36.2m will be made available to improve facilities in Northern Ireland.
The cash injection will also benefit grassroots football and progress the development of a new National Training Centre.Read more: Steven Davis tips Ross McCausland to play key role in Gers' Scottish Cup dream The East Belfast side revealed plans back in 2021 which included the development of two all-seater stands and "reconfiguration of existing standing terracing at goal ends providing 2000 person capacity."
The Oval club said in a statement: "Glentoran Football Club welcomes the announcement from Minister Gordon Lyons on his plans to release funding under the Northern Ireland Football Fund programme. We are pleased the Minister has emphasised both need and social value.
