To mark World Immunisation Week, GlblCtzn is campaigning to increase immunisation rates for every child by increasing funding to international vaccination programs. MORE: ChangeMakers

The world is currently in the midst of a global measles outbreak with a 300 per cent upswing in cases for 2019. Australia is not immune, facing its worst measles rate in five years. New research by UNICEF shows more than 20 million children around the world are not vaccinated against the potentially fatal disease.

To mark World Immunisation Week, Global Citizen is campaigning to increase immunisation rates for every child by increasing funding to international vaccination programs. Global Citizen Australia's Country Director Sarah Meredith says the organisation is seeking 10,000 signatures to encourage world leaders to work constructively with Global Citizen to immunise people in a push to eradicate diseases and end poverty.
