Police issue update after boy, 15, found unconscious and seriously injured in park
A teenager who was arrested after a 15-year-old boy was found unconscious in a park in east Manchester has been bailed, police have confirmed.
Police believe he was hurt in a 'targeted attack'. on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.In an update issued this morning, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed the boy had been released on bail pending further enquiries. On Monday morning, two forensics tents were in place and an area of the park at Bank Bridge Meadow was taped off.
Inspector Charlotte Quinn said: "We believe this to have been a targeted attack and are treating it as an isolated incident. A scene remains in place in the Philips Park area whilst officers carry out their enquiries.
