The Godfather Part III actor Anthony Guidera has died at the age of 65 after being on life support for three weeks following a cardiac arrest, his wife confirmed. The father-of-one was a prominent fixture in Hollywood from 1990 to 2005, building a portfolio of 30 film and television credits during that time.
His wife of 20 years, Valarie, told TMZ that the actor suddenly collapsed in the living room of their Southern California home on May 11, when his heart stopped beating. Guidera was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital and placed on life support, where he remained for three weeks. Doctors later removed life support in accordance with his prior directive, and he was brought home, so he could die a"natural death".

“We are devastated and trying to breathe through the impossible, taking each moment as it comes. Guidera made his on-screen debut in The Godfather Part III in 1990, where he played one of Vincent Mancini's bodyguards.
He went on to appear in a string of television series, including High Tide, Baywatch Nights, Nash Bridges, Angel and ER. The star's last on-screen appearance was in the 2005 film L.A. Dicks, alongside Dean Alioto and Sarah Wynter.
