Hunter Schafer closes out Gogo Graham's fall 2022 show in a corset and fringe cross-hatch skirt
Gogo Graham may have held the coldest show this season, choosing to have it outdoors at the club Nowadays, tucked away in Queens. But frigid temps, whatever! Everyone was thrilled to be there: Graham conjures a crowd and a community. The trans designer began making clothes for herself in 2014 and has garnered quite the following.
There’s a bit of an art school vibe with Graham’s use of patchwork, but she certainly has a knack for making some of those pieces appear extremely elegant. One stunning model, whose name is “Fashion,” wore a dress with what appeared to be balls of fabric–but were actually bra cups sewn together–orbiting her and tracing her shoulders, eventually descending into a skirt. Her corset, which fit perfectly, was crafted from a sheet. The last model was none other than Hunter Schafer.
