Collingwood have once again held on in a dramatic finish – and moved to sixth on the ladder – after recovering from 14 points down in the last quarter to defeat the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium, all but ending the Suns’ slim finals hopes.

The Suns were in the box seat to win the game late, with Izak Rankine finishing with four goals, two in the last quarter. But the Pies, once again, were able to lift, ramming through the last three goals, then holding fast as the Suns threw everything at them. Still, they attacked relentlessly. Goals to Rankine and Noah Anderson kept the Suns thereabouts, but the quarter was dominated by the Daicos brothers, Josh kicking two goals, Nick with the ball on a string, and using it better than anyone else.
