On the same day that one restaurant announced its closure at the Black Circle event space, another announced it will open there.
The owners of GoldLeaf Sweet & Savory on Tuesday announced they will open a restaurant at Refinery46, 2201 E. 46th St. in Indianapolis where Black Circle hosts live shows. The new concept, to be called Beacon, will open soon, John-Christian and Kristine Bockman announced via Instagram Live on Tuesday.
“We’re going to move pretty quickly. We need to feed people,” John-Christian Bockman said. “We’ve been fortunate over the last three years to get to the point where GoldLeaf is doing what it needs to do in the daytime; now we need rolling for the nighttime and be able to support the local businesses as far as Black Circle and the musicians that come through town and being able to be there.”
