No more staring at the medicine bottle for a long time? 😅 Google TechNave
Google is onto something that will make our lives easier. The tech giant announced that it's working on an AI model that can decipher difficult-to-read handwriting, especially on notes and prescriptions written by doctors.
At the annual conference in India on Monday, Google revealed that it was working with pharmacists to create a tool in Google Lens that can interpret messily written medical notes. It also demonstrated the feature at the event, but no detail was given on the launching time frame."Much work still remains to be done before this system is ready for the real world," said Google.
Google Lens is an AI-powered multipurpose object recognition tool that detects various objects and translates languages. For now, it can already digitally transcribe handwritten notes, but it still depends on how legible the handwriting is. Since most doctors' handwriting is hmm..., it could be even more difficult to detect, but we'll see.
