He said: “They’re always auditions, particularly in the under-21s. If I didn’t have that ambition I’d be a bit stupid, but I understand the squad is so good it’s going to be tough to get in. “I’m 100 per cent focused on making the World Cup squad. If it doesn’t happen, it’s out of my control but I’ll give it my best try. To get there, I’m going to need to score a lot of goals but I’m ready for the challenge and hopeful.”
