The new pricing structure has also been outlined for these locations, with Netflix reiterating that the service is “one home per account”.Additional “homes” will be available for purchase from $US2.99, with members on the basic plan able to add one extra home, standard plan users can add two and premium plan members have the option of up to three.
Netflix also states users will still be able to travel outside their home without incurring an additional fee. This will be based on a location that has not been previously used for up to two weeks, and is allowed once per location per year. Users who log into the service from other locations after this grace period will be blocked from the account.
Extra homes will be detected by using IP address information, device IDs and account activity.
