James Gunn shares a behind-the-scenes photo of the alien band from Marvel's upcoming The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Set to be released by Marvel Studios as their second-ever Special Presentation, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special hits Disney+ this week and will see the return of Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy in a brand new festive-themed story.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY In the lead-up to the release of The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Gunn has shared a fun BTS image from the set. The photo shows Gunn posing with an alien band, each donning various makeup prosthetics and some of them holding guitars.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will also feature a unique soundtrack with a festive spin. The tracklist will include Christmas classics such as "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues and "Christmas Wrapping" by The Waitresses, as well as this newly recorded song "I Don't Know What Christmas Is " by Old 97's.
This fun new photo will likely excite audiences for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, as much of what can be expected from this new release remains to be seen. Early reviews for the special have hailed it a Christmas classic, with particular praise for Kevin Bacon, who also stars alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy as himself.
