The Resources Minister has outlined options the Albanese government will take to safeguard gas supplies in the wake of a damning report into the nation’s energy security.
, which was released on Monday, has predicted shortfalls of 56 petajoules on the east coast in 2023.

Picture: Gary Ramage At a press conference on Monday, Ms King said the “last resort” measure would be activated when available.“The Albanese Government will ensure Australian householders and businesses continue to have access to reliable energy supplies and we will take whatever steps are needed to avoid a repeat of the crisis we faced in early June.”
