The update comes less than a month after a clash in the Himalayas that left 20 Indian soldiers dead.
The government also urged any Australian travellers in China to avoid any protests or interferences in the country's justice process. "The Chinese Government strictly controls demonstrations. Authorities may arrest protesters. Avoid protests and large gatherings. Don't photograph or video protests," the update says.to govern the semi-autonomous Hong Kong
, bypassing the territory's Legislative Council and approving the change without public consultation. Prime Minister Scott Morrison said at the time that his government is considering an offer of safe haven to Hong Kong residents threatened by the move, while Foreign Minister Marise Payne said the laws threatened Hong Kong's judicial independence and the rights and freedoms of its people.
