More than a third of the Grampians National Park in Victoria 's west has been burned by a large bushfire which has destroyed livestock and is threatening to impact dozens of communities.The department is encouraging app users to provide some basic information, including photographs (if appropriate) and a location. However, it warns that approaching or capturing injured or distressed animals can lead to further distress — both to yourself and wildlife.

“The snake was at the bathroom door right near the only toilet in the house, so the people in the house weren’t keen to wait to see if it moved on by itself,” he said. “Within half an hour, they were then told to evacuate their house so it was good they had more time to collect their items than worry about a snake.“During last seasons bushfires around Pomonal, I had four callouts to homes when people returned to find snakes inside.”The CFA's Jason Heffernan says the fire situation will remain 'very dynamic' for hours to come and communities in affected areas must remain vigilant.'I can't thank the community enough for the preparations you've done and also being able to listen to authorities and take the action of authorities,' he says.
