The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation grant will help the Arts Garage and Stories of Atlantic City work more closely toward goals of building power, reimagine systems and strengthen economic resilience, a statement said. The grant is part of the Dodge Foundation’s goal to donate to organizations focusing on addressing the root cause and repair of structural racism and inequality across New Jersey. The money will also help hire a full-time community outreach organizer to coordinate projects.
Stories of Atlantic City is a collaborative project focused on telling restorative, untold stories about the city and its people. Stockton journalism students help report and write content for the Stories of Atlantic City website and help produce and host recurring podcasts.
