On Channel 7’s Talking Footy, Cotchin said that he can understand why Gold Coast and Hardwick would want Martin at their club but his former housemate spending more time in south-east Queensland is more likely linked to lifestyle than football. “There’s probably a part of me that hopes it doesn’t happen because of the love I have, and I think it would be nice for him to end up a one-club player of the Richmond footy club,” Cotchin said
