The 10-mile (16km) race through the streets of Portsmouth takes place on Sunday.
Last year's fastest woman, Lilly Partridge, will be back to defend her title in Sunday's 10 mile raceThe 10-mile route takes runners though the Historic Dockyard, passing HMS Victory and then along Southsea Common via the pier to the finish line.Road closures come into force across roads throughout the city's seafront area from 09:30.
Last year's fastest woman, Lilly Partridge, who completed the race in 54 minutes and 29 seconds, will be back to defend her title. The men's race was won last year by Olympian Ben Connor, who completed the course in 47 minutes and 19 seconds. A Great South Run 5km , junior and mini runs - starting at 08:00 and 12:00 - were set to be held on Saturday.
