Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister Patrick Gorman says the Greens have a “big policy split” in their “very small group” regarding the push to lower the legal voting age to 16.

He said there is a split between party members over whether there should be voluntary or compulsory voting at 16 years old.

“They do owe us an explanation as to where they stand on their own policy position,” Mr Gorman told Sky News Australia.
