The popular Nottinghamshire store has had its front door smashed
A popular Nottinghamshire store has had its front door smashed and temporarily closed as a result. Greggs in Stapleford was cordoned off after the door was apparently smashed on Monday, June 26.
Images show two yellow clipboard signs which read "caution, cleaning in progress" outside the shop in Derby Road. It is not yet known what caused the breakage. The store appeared to be closed when Nottinghamshire Live visited on Monday, June 26, with no staff inside. The door was missing its glass panelling but any shards of glass had been cleared from the site.
Greggs in Stapleford is a popular food spot with locals, selling a variety of sweet and savoury products such as sausage rolls, sandwiches, doughnuts and vanilla slices. A worker at Greggs Stapleford confirmed that there had been an incident at the store. Nottinghamshire Police was contacted for comment, but had not responded by the time of publication.
