Grenade found by Indiana family explodes, killing father, injuring 2 teen children

The family in Indiana was going through a grandfather's belongings when they found the grenade and someone pulled the pin, causing it to detonate, the Lake County Sheriff's Office says.

The sheriff’s department says the explosion occurred just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the family’s home in Lakes of the Four Seasons.

The victims were going through items belonging to a grandfather when they found the grenade.Niedert was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office says.
