Linda and Maureen tragically lost their sons to suspected overdoses in hotels notorious for drug dealing 💔
A pair of grief-stricken mums have made a plea with Humza Yousaf to put a stop to homeless people being dumped in drug den hotels.
“He said Frankie was a handsome guy and could have been a model, which I though was a very human touch. The meeting seemed quite sincere and I’m hoping it will make a difference.” “We believe that if people with known addictions are being routinely placed in temporary accommodation, they should have proper care on-site and the accommodation should be a temporary stop-gap.”Maureen Thomson, 68, shared the same pain as Linda when her son Gary, 45, died at the Tartan Lodge homeless hostel on May 26, just 12 days after Frankie.
Spokesman Sean Clerkin said: “The bravery of Linda McVean and Maureen Thomson is exemplary and they have already made a difference in bringing attention to this crisis.
