Workers at a popular burger chain across Australia are reportedly being screwed down on their hourly wage and feel they must undertake a traineeship to work there. 9News

Grill'd allegedly requires staff to do government-subsidised Certificate III traineeships in hospitality to get a job there - bringing down the net wage,Under the agreement an 18-year-old Grill'd worker on a traineeship is paid an hourly flat rate of $14.50 per hour, workers union Hospo Voice states.

The Fair Work Commission approved the agreement in 2015, which is set to expire this month, the union states. "One of the reasons I'm paid so little is because Grill'd pressured me to do a dodgy traineeship. I think it's just an excuse to pay me trainee wages," the 23-year-old said.
