A Florida lawyer dressed as the Grim Reaper has warned Floridians to stay off beaches, claiming looser restrictions will prolong the coronavirus recovery.
“In these circumstances, I can see no rational reason to open our beaches, effectively inviting tens of thousands of tourists back into our community,” Florida Attorney Daniel Uhlfelder told reporters after walking the newly-opened beach near Destin, Florida. In a bizarre interview with WMBB News 13 on Friday morning, Attorney Daniel Uhlfelder protested newly relaxed coronavirus restrictions.Dressed in a dark hooded cloak and toting a scythe, the 47-year-old lawyer said: “I’m here today to try to make a point that we need to, I think it’s premature that we open our beaches."But I think that the danger of bringing all the people here to our area and spreading the virus, I think it’s going to prolong the recovery we have.
