Groovin the Moo, a beloved Australian music festival, has announced a break in 2025. The festival will use the time to find a more sustainable model for its operations.
Australian music festival Groovin the Moo announced on social media that it will be taking a break in 2025. In an Instagram post, the festival stated that it won't return this year but reassured fans that this isn't the end. Groovin the Moo, which began in 2005, will use this time to 'work on finding the most sustainable model for Australia's most loved regional touring festival.' ABC has reached out for further comment.
Groovin the Moo has been a staple in the Australian music scene since 2005, traveling to various locations across the country, including New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Canberra, and Queensland. The 2024 schedule included stops in Bendigo, Newcastle, the Sunshine Coast, Canberra, and Adelaide, featuring a diverse lineup of international and Australian artists. The lineup boasted names like Mura Masa, The Kooks, Mel C, Alison Wonderland, DMA's, and Jet. In a separate statement last week to ABC, Live Nation, the parent company of Splendour in the Grass, expressed their full support for Groovin the Moo's team, stating, 'We're working on exciting new projects to support artists and the industry, while meeting the demands of music fans and look forward to sharing more in the coming months.
