Young people in an NI town have been left terrified following multiple attacks by a group of youths who record their assaults for a social media page
Young people in Newtownards have been left terrified following multiple attacks by a group of youths who record their assaults for a social media page.
Speaking to Belfast Live, a relative of one of the victims said that young people are scared to go out in Newtownards due to the violence and police have not been able to concentrate efforts on the incidents due to a seperate ongoing feud among rival drug gangs. "Something needs to be done about this urgently, because this group acts like it is untouchable and if this continues someone is going to end up seriously injured or dead."
"Since the beginning of the year I have been getting calls every week from the parents of children who have been injured in attacks. Police in Newtownards are currently investigating a number of reports of anti-social behaviour and assaults in the area in recent months.
