As the spread of coronavirus slows in China, concerns are growing over a sharp rise in infections across South Korea, Italy and Iran.

Italy reported its first two coronavirus deaths and dozens of cases, putting strict quarantine restrictions in place in two popular locations near Milan and Venice.

South Korea issued the highest level of alert after six people were killed by the disease and more than 600 infected, while Iran reported 43 cases of the virus and eight deaths. There are up to 79,000 cases of coronavirus confirmed worldwide. Image: Getty
