Parents of deaf children have long called for the program to be rolled out at a state secondary school. "So why would I put my son into a high school where what is provided is mediocre in regard to access?" "There's so much Auslan going on in the room, it's brilliant for both, I guess, hearing and deaf children," Ms O'Keeffe said.
