There is growing speculation over Former prime minister Scott Morrison’s future in parliament as rumours suggest he could quit politics by the end of the year.
The revelations were first made by Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell last month with the former prime minister rumoured to be taking up an overseas consulting job.
His resignation would trigger a by-election in Mr Morrison’s Sydney seat of Cook which the Liberals hold on a margin of 12 per cent. The leading candidate for the Liberals is Former NSW attorney general Mark Speakman who is considering a switch to federal politics.
