"The man underwent a secondary test at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and about 8am on Saturday 22 August, was informed he had returned a positive test result for COVID-19," NSW Police said on Monday.
Two of Monday's new cases were in overseas travellers in hotel quarantine, and one was a case of local transmission NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said the worker had been in self-isolation before receiving the positive test result. Senator Colbeck said the federal government had committed more than $1 billion to tackle COVID19 in aged care.
