Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is already in the record books! It's surpassed The Grinch's World Record for 'most makeup appliances created for a single production.'
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 officially sets a new world record for the most makeup appliances created for a single production. James Gunn's third installment of his beloved Marvel trilogy is currently in production and is set to hit theaters in 2023. The film will see Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff reprise their roles, alongside Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper who will return to lend their vocal talents.
Production on Guardians of the Galaxy 3 officially began back in November 2021, and is expected to wrap up within the coming weeks. Gunn's latest project has remained largely under wraps, with details surrounding the film currently few and far between as production looks to draw to a close.

It's certainly exciting to see Guardians of the Galaxy 3 earn such an achievement, particularly when one considers the hours of hard work that will have gone into securing this record. Given that a large majority of the film's characters appear thanks to the use of special effects, this update from Gunn does not unfortunately offer any more insight into what can be expected from the upcoming film, but many will delighted to hear that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
