The Guardians’ rotation has taken another hit.

ARLINGTON -- The Guardians have placed Shane Bieber on the 15-day injured list and recalled right-hander Michael Kelly from Class AAA Columbus. The team announced Friday that Bieber would miss his scheduled start on Monday against the Pirates because of an irritated right forearm. The team did not release the nature of Bieber’s injury. He joins starters Triston McKenzie , Cal Quantrill and Peyton Battenfield on the injured list.
Terry Francona said Bieber has been pitching with soreness in his forearm for about a month. He is 0-3 with a 5.22 ERA over his last five starts.
