Gucci is going to accept Bitcoin as a payment method — AS WELL AS DOGECOIN AND SHIBA INU — at all of its U.S. stores by the end of the summer 🚀
Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, Shiba Inu and Dogecoin — as well as five stablecoins — are going to be accepted.
It's reported that stores in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta and Las Vegas will be among the first to take the plunge."Gucci is always looking to embrace new technologies when they can provide an enhanced experience for our customers. Now that we are able to integrate cryptocurrencies within our payment system, it is a natural evolution for those customers who would like to have this option available to them.
Gucci has also released its own non-fungible tokens of late — and those who invest in these NFTs have been able to benefit from early access to upcoming collections. The fashion house isn't the first upmarket brand to embrace digital assets — and it comes as premium companies attempt to woo those who may be crypto rich but cash poor.
