New South Wales Police have released CCTV images of three men and a woman allegedly involved in a terrifying armed road rage incident in Sydney's south-west.

A passer-by told police three men and one woman were involved in the altercation which quickly escalated at the intersection of Mill Road and Charles Street in Liverpool at about 3pm on April 17.

Police released CCTV images on Tuesday of the four people they are eager to speak to over the incident.The first man was described as having a partly shaved head and was wearing a blue basketball singlet, dark pants and light-coloured sneakers.
