A male sailor who shot a female sailor at Virginia's Naval Air Station Oceana was shot and killed by Naval police, the base says. The woman's injuries are said to be not life threatening.
The shooting was an"isolated domestic incident" in a hangar parking lot, Capt. Chad Vincelette said. A male sailor shot a female sailor several times, Vincelette said. The woman was taken to Virginia Beach General Hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.
Naval police shot and killed the male sailor, Vincelette said. The sailors have not been identified pending notification of next of kin.Read MoreThe shooter had a single handgun, Vincelette said.
