Gwen Stefani isn’t celebrating her 50th birthday by getting pregnant with longtime boyfriend Blake Shelton’s baby. Gossip Cop found the story laughable.
Blake SheltonEarlier this week, Stefani celebrated her 50th birthday with Shelton and her three sons. This inspiredto concoct a story about Stefani trying to have another baby. Citing a totally anonymous “insider,” the tabloid claims the singer told close friends that “when it came time to blow out the candles on her cake, she’d wish for a miracle — a baby girl with Blake.” It’s unclear if the Dr. Seuss-style rhyming was intentional.
The “source” adds that Stefani has supposedly been trying to conceive naturally for a while. “Now that Gwen is entering her 50s, she knows it’s a race against the clock. So she’s hoping to double down early next year, even if it means taking the IVF or surrogacy path.” While Shelton “loves Gwen’s boys, and considers them his own,” the “tipster” adds, “he’s always wanted a big family and thinks it would be fun to have a daughter to spoil.
“Gwen knows how badly Blake wants to be a dad and prays that it won’t be long until they have their own bundle of joy,” adds the seemingly nonexistent source. Of course, the tabloid doesn’t stop at phony baby rumors. The supposed insider states that Shelton “is planning to pop the question to Gwen in the coming weeks at his Oklahoma ranch,” but is keeping it secret in order to surprise Stefani.
If that’s the case, it’s highly unlikely he’d blab about it to a loose-lipped friend, or whoever this “insider” is. “He’s got the rest of it all figured out,” the supposed tipster concludes. “He wants a quick engagement and a wedding by the spring so they can put their complete focus on their family — and, hopefully, their new baby.”
