As revealed first by 7NEWS, the GWSGiants have named Richmond_FC assistant Adam Kingsley as their new head coach. 7AFL AFL 7NEWS
But Kingsley, 47, has finally earned his chance after being overlooked for several coaching positions, including Collingwood and Carlton last year.“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity. It’s a privilege and an honour to be the next senior coach of the Giants,” he said in a GWS statement.
“We - and Adam - believe success isn’t far away and we’re thrilled to have him lead us into our next chapter as a club. McVeigh had hoped to secure the job on a full-time basis after replacing Leon Cameron in the wake of his exit in May. “It’s very unlike the Giants, these are the games you’ve got to get up for and our club has prided ourselves on that for a long period of time,” McVeigh said at the time.
