The house, now a Vrbo rental, is included in 36 new markers that were selected from 91 applications, said the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission. There are more than 2,500 of the blue signs with gold lettering in Pennsylvania.
The signs feature subjects such as Native Americans and early settlers, government and politics, athletes, entertainers, artists, struggles for freedom and equality, factories and businesses, and a multitude of other noteworthy topics,” the commission said. “The building is an exceptional example of programmatic architecture and was designed by York architect Frederick Rempp,” the commission said.
