HaloInfinite has announced that the franchise's iconic announcer, Jeff Steitzer, will now have his voice featured in the Big Team Battle mode.
A special treat is coming for Halo Infinite players now that Season 1 has ended, as developer 343 Industries announced that legendary announcer Jeff Steitzer would be lending his voice to the Big Team Battle mode. Steitzer has been the announcer for Halo games going back to 2001's Halo: Combat Evolved and is also the announcer for Halo Infinite. However, with the introduction of the popular Big Team Battle mode, Halo fans have noticed that Steitzer's voice was conspicuously absent.
Big Team Battle is a mode that has been a staple of Halo games for years. Big Team Battle is the massive competitive mode that features 12 versus 12 combat on larger maps that often include vehicles. It is one of the most common game modes in the Halo franchise, so players were not at all surprised to see it return in Halo Infinite. However, the game was also updated by the team sizes being increased to 12 players from the previous 8.
Although the team at 343 Industries is trying to rectify these issues and respond to player complaints, these changes may still be coming too late. Halo Infinite players have been outspoken about the state of the game at present. While Halo Infinite had an incredibly successful launch, many players have bemoaned the lack of a battle royale mode.
At the very least, one of Halo Infinite's most popular game modes is getting an improvement that players have been asking for. Jeff Steitzer is as core to Halo as is the Big Team Battle mode. Now, the two are finally reunited, as many players believe they should be.Halo Infinite is currently available on PC and Xbox consoles.
