UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps said on Friday it is ‘highly likely’ that British citizens are among the captives
“The political pressure on Netanyahu from members of his own coalition, the religious right, the settler movements, and even people who were critical of Netanyahu, it’s reaching a crescendo, in that there is a sense that something has to happen, and we see that in the rhetoric coming out of Netanyahu, Gallant, and various others.
“If we don’t do something concrete, we might find ourselves with more challenging problems,” he said. More than 1,500 people have been already killed in Gaza, as the Israeli government’s aerial campaign razes whole neighbourhoods.
