Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has reinjured her surgically-repaired hamstring and will miss Australia's bid to equal a world record against New Zealand.
"She is doing everything she can to be available as soon as possible. It's a very complex injury and hard to get the timing on when certain things will happen," Lanning said. Lanning said her long-time teammate was disappointed but had retained a positive vibe among the playing group. "Even when things don't go our way the whole game, we are able to fight through and I think that's a really important quality to have."
