The University of Saskatchewan Huskies will try for a 20th consecutive home win Friday against unbeaten Alberta.
Three of the six Canada West teams are a perfect 2-0, and the other three are 0-2.
Narrowing things down to Friday’s opponents, the Huskies beat Manitoba 30-27 and Regina 40-6, while Alberta downed Calgary 33-9 and Manitoba 37-16. “It’s where we anticipated being,” Huskies’ head coach Scott Flory said this week of his team’s strong start. “We knew Week 1 was going to be a tough game , and we were resilient. We powered through. We’re starting to see some of that growth, and we have to make sure we retain it. Two games does not make a season.Article content
