Harris County Elections Administrator Clifford Tatum will be out of his job after running elections for only one year.Harris County Commissioners dissolved the election administrator’s office to abide by a new law days away from going into effect that places election operations here back in the hands of county officials.

Hudspeth will oversee election management, while Bennett will handle voter registration. They will officially take over operations on Friday – less than two months away from the start of early voting. “While we can all agree that this is not an ideal situation, I am committed to doing the job before me,” she said.
