Grace McSweeney messaged her partner of two years, Aaron Costin, on Snapchat before she got into the car which later crashed and killed four youngsters - including a brother and sister.
The heartbroken boyfriend of an 18-year-old girl who died in a horrendous car crash which also killed three others - including a brother and sister - has paid tribute to the "bubbly and friendly" youngster.
Aaron Costin, 18, had been in a relationship with Grace for two years. He received a message from her on Snapchat before she got into the car which later crashed, in County Tipperary, Ireland.Minutes after seeing her location on the app, he got a text from his friend saying there had been a crash on the road she was on, the Mirror reports.
After picking her up, they went to Carey’s Castle, where they walked around and talked. The couple had been looking forward to a trip to Amsterdam, which they planned together because Grace - who had a love of history - wanted to do the Anne Frank tour. Grace and Zoey both attended Presentation Secondary School, and received their exam results on Friday. School principal Michael O’Loughlin said: “No words can express our sorrow, our pain and our grief. Zoey and Grace were two beautiful students, loved by everybody who met them and [they] achieved such excellent results on Friday.
"Family Liaison Officers have been appointed to each of the families to provide support and the families will be kept updated as to the course of the investigation. I want to acknowledge and express my gratitude to my colleagues in An Garda Síochána and the other emergency services who attended the scene last night.
