captain left Spurs for the Allianz Arena in a deal that could be worth £100million and has already settled into life in Bavaria, scoring three goals in three Bundesliga appearances.
The 30-year-old endured a number of near trophy misses during his time in north London but is confident his hopes of finally achieving tangible success at club level has been enhanced as a consequence of joining a team where nothing but success is tolerated. He added: I have been told about the Champions League final in Wembley. I know the Euros are in Germany next summer so if there’s someone out there writing a movie, I will try and do my best to make it happen!” he said.
