The Harry Potter actor's family confirmed his life support machine was turned off on Sunday. During his career, Paul worked alongside Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill in Return of the Jedi where he played an Ewok.

Paul's daughter Sophie Grant, 28, told The Sun that she's "devastated". She said: “My dad was a legend in so many ways. He always brought a smile and laughter to everyone’s face. Paul's girlfriend Maria Dwyer, 64, described him as the "love of [her] life" whilst speaking to the publication. She added: "The funniest man I know. He made my life complete. Life is never going to be the same without him.”

Speaking at the time, he admitted: "I need help. I've been on cocaine and it has just got worse. I'm drinking and smoking what I can get."
