The Harry Potter TV reboot must do a few things.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The upcoming Harry Potter reboot has a lot to live up to in terms of fan expectations, but it also has the opportunity to deliver on things the movies didn't. Although the Harry Potter movies are often regarded as modern classics, there's no denying they had their flaws. Like many page-to-screen adaptations, they cut the smaller details from the source material and overlooked some less crucial storylines.

14 A Black Actor As Hermione Granger The main cast of Harry Potter isn't as diverse as it should be, and the TV reboot should really take a leaf out of Cursed Child's book. Fans have pointed out that Hermione Granger can be read as being Black, and the show should cast a Black actor to play the role. This would be one way to improve upon the books' less inclusive cast of characters .

11 Better Quidditch Matches Quidditch is a huge part of the Wizarding World and the Harry Potter books, but it doesn't get a ton of screen time in the movies, especially the later ones. Even more unforgivably, the Quidditch World Cup is way less epic in the Goblet of Fire movie than it is in the book. With a bigger budget, the Harry Potter TV reboot can deliver more intense Quidditch matches, making them events in and of themselves.

8 A Marauder Flashback Episode Most Harry Potter fans would love to see an entire Marauder series, but the TV reboot should at least deliver a few flashback episodes centered on these beloved characters. Harry's father and his friends certainly have enough of a backstory to fill an entire hour-long installment. In fact, they could carry a whole season — though that might detract from the main story.

6 Adam Driver As A Less Sympathetic Severus Snape It's going to be difficult for the Harry Potter reboot to recast Severus Snape, especially after the late Alan Rickman's iconic performance in the role. There's one actor many fans would like to see replace him, and that's Adam Driver. Driver would make a solid Snape, especially with his experience capturing a layered antagonist in the Star Wars movies.
